Established in 1981 and situated in its iconic building in Brixton’s Windrush Square since 2014, Black Cultural Archives (BCA) is the only national repository of Black history and culture in the UK. BCA is dedicated to collecting, preserving and celebrating the histories of African and Caribbean people in Britain.

BCA's unparalleled and growing archive collection offers insight into the history of people of African and Caribbean descent in Britain. The work recognises the importance of untold stories and provides a platform to encourage enquiry and dialogue.

The relevance of our history is universal. We Are One.

By supporting BCA, you are helping to embed our stories within the history of Britain, ensuring that our contributions are visible and accessible to everyone.
